  • Piwik Usability Review: OpenChime.com is a new startup improving how local services are found online with an impressive 1.8 million local professionals ready to help. They have recently organized a usability review with 10 volunteers which lead to interesting discussions and features we are now working on!

When possible, custom features are built as a "Plugin" so that it is very easy to update Piwik to the latest version, keeping your existing custom features in the plugin. When Piwik consultants require to make changes to the core of Piwik, they will work closely with the Piwik team to make sure all patches are applied to the core. This will ensure that custom development or plugin work with newer versions of Piwik.

We ask that all development is made open source so that the community can benefit and improve the plugin. If it doesn't make sense to open source (private or sensitive information, specific functionality), open sourcing the plugin is optional. If the plugin is open source, it will be reviewed by the Piwik team following our coding standards to ensure a high quality in the code.
