The new website was designed to be simple to use and navigate, and give visitors a better overview of Piwik Analytics. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A complete rebranding. Piwik now uses a new color scheme (Black/White/Red) and a new Logo!
  • What is Piwik? gives an overview of Piwik for new comers.
  • The User Guides now list in one page all the useful Documentation about the possibilities of Piwik analytics platform
  • The Frequently Asked Questions have been reviewed and better organised. There more than 200 questions in our knowledge base!
  • Get Involved! explains all the ways you can participate in the Piwik community… Yes, we need you!
  • Hosting Piwik now lists three official Piwik hosting services.
  • The new website is fully responsive, and will display nicely on all mobile devices and tablets.

While studying in India in 2006, Matthieu had the idea of creating an open source web analytics alternative to Google Analytics. In 2007 he released the first public beta version of Piwik. Matthieu now leads the project from New Zealand, where he likes to spend his days coding new features from the Piwik Roadmap, and helping users and customers use Piwik effectively.
