Softaculous now supports Piwik
We are thrilled to announce that Piwik is now officially supported by Softaculous. Softaculous is an auto installer for cPanel and DirectAdmin. Softaculous is fast, easy to use and it installs all scripts in just ONE STEP. Please see detailed Comparison of Softaculous and other auto installers.
The decision to have Piwik added to the Softaculous repository of scripts is very much in line with our vision to make Piwik the best Open Source alternative to Google Analytics. The Support team at Softaculous was very responsive and is committed to including updates to Piwik as they become available.
If your host supports Softaculous and you are considering the switch to Piwik as your Web Analytics application of choice then this auto install script is definitely the option for you!
In a few simple steps you can have Piwik up and running in no time:
- Login to your host and look for Software/Services.
- In Softaculous there is a 'Polls and Survey' Category. Expand the category and Piwik will be there. Click on it.
- You will see an 'Install' TAB. Click it…
- Fill in the various details and Submit…
- That's it, you are done!

Please email us your experience installing Piwik using Softaculous together with any other comments at: hello (at) piwik.org
